Why I Started Nichols PT & Wellness

I earned my Doctorate of Physical Therapy degree from Rockhurst University in 2008 and spent the next fifteen years in the traditional orthopedic practice. I worked with athletes from middle school through Division 1, with weekend warriors trying to stay in the game, and with older adults who wanted to keep their strength and their independence. I learned a lot about what helps people get better and what doesn't.

I also learned what gets in the way. Not everyone feels comfortable in a clinic or a gym. Not everyone has time to sit in a waiting room. And almost nobody gets a full hour with one person who has time to listen to their whole story.

In August 2023 I started Nichols PT & Wellness to remove those barriers. With my mobile practice I come to you. Every visit is sixty minutes, one on one. The price is on the website, so you know it before we start. That is the whole idea.

How I Work

I am not juggling several patients at once, so I can be fully present with you. That shows up in small ways. I watch you do every exercise before I leave. I notice when something is not quite right. I remember what you told me last week.

I believe in conservative care: solving problems with movement, hands-on treatment, dry needling, and strength, and knowing when something needs a physician's attention. When it does, I say so. I work closely with local physicians and other providers, and I will loop in your primary care doctor whenever it helps your care.

And I believe the price of care should be clear. You will never get a bill from me months later, and you will never wonder what the next visit costs.

Outside the Visit

I live and work in the Manhattan area, and I see clients in Wamego, St. George, and Riley as well. I also travel to Junction City. You will find me on Facebook and Instagram, and I am listed in the American Physical Therapy Association's Find a PT directory and the Dry Needling Specialist Directory.

When I am not working, I am enjoying time with my wife and our two children in the great outdoors, running, biking, and exercising.

If you have a question, the fastest way to reach me is a call or a text at (785) 410-1823.
